History and Milestones
The Child and Family Institute of Fairfield County was previously The C.A.R.D.Foundation. It was established in 1996. The driving force behind the Foundation was the collective voices of parents, community leaders, and schools advocating for expanded programs for children and youth with attention and related disorders. In response, the C.A.R.D. Foundation launched the Youth Enrichment Program in the summer of 1997. Due to the significant gains made by our youth, the program has been able to grown and expand into our current B.O.O.S.T. (Building Opportunities for Our Students to Thrive) Program.
