The Child and Family Institute of Fairfield County (CFI) envisions a community where individuals’ lives are not compromised by their differences. CFI believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their goals and live a positive lifestyle.

CFI provides a relaxed and comfortable environment where we apply personalized solutions to meet individual needs. Our comprehensive out-patient mental health facility is designed to effectively address the therapeutic needs of children, adolescents and adults of all ages.

Our professional staff is highly trained in treating a myriad of mental health issues including depression, bi-polar disorder, trauma, ADHD, anxiety disorders, gender identity issues, reactive attachment disorder, behavioral issues and family conflicts. 

Our clinicians are trained in many different therapeutic approaches to successfully address our clients’ needs including DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), CBT (cognitive behavior therapy), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), and holistic treatment. We are the only out-patient program in Fairfield County that combines the top evidence-based practices with a holistic approach.

CFI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency which has been providing exemplary mental health services to children and their families since 1996.
